My name is Allen Ingram, and I have been in the Food and Wine business for 20 years. Growing up in the UK and travelling to France frequently as a young man I was lucky enough to be exposed to the food and wine culture that would play a big part in my passions for both great food, and great wine. Since moving to Vancouver in 1995 I have run a handful of restaurants and wine programs, as well as earning my Basic Certificate through the Court of Master Sommelier of America.
My passion with food and wine is something that I wish to share with others, whilst hearing their own stories. I would love subscribers and visitors to share recipes and pictures of their cooking experiences on the site.
Another goal I have is to support the best of the local suppliers and retailers. So sharing the locations where you buy your favorite products available in BC (especially in Vancouver). British Columbia has some of the best organic farms, amazing wineries and talented chefs anywhere in the world so BCFoodies.com is committed to showcasing the best of whats available to you!
This website will feature the people, the restaurants, the shops and the farms that produce the food and wine that we enjoy, so please join us frequently and contribute where you can, so that we can build a great community site for everyone to enjoy.
